The Center for Language Sciences (CLS) is an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary administrative unit within The College at the University of Rochester. The goal of the Center is to foster research activities in the Language Sciences which fall within and between the more traditional disciplines of Linguistics, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Engineering, and Philosophy. This goal is met by an active colloquium series, workshops, access to working papers, formal coursework in contributing departments, shared laboratory and computational facilities, and a pre- and post-doctoral training grant from the National Institutes of Health. Links are provided on this homepage to all of the activities within the Center, as well as to related programs and departments at the University of Rochester. We encourage you to explore this site and we welcome your comments and suggestions. Jeff Runner |
