BCS 232: Artificial IntelligenceCross-listed: CSC 242 Philosophial, psychological, psychophysical issues. History of trends in AI and current state. Case studies from problem solving, expert systems, robotics, natural language understanding, computer vision, neural nets, and learning. LISP and possibly MATLAB programming. Laboratory exercises involve state-of-the-art hardware and software systems. The course is complementary to BCS 230 (CSC 240), but is a prerequisite for advanced AI courses. |
