My research focuses on understanding the processes underlying spoken word recognition and speech perception, with a
particular emphasis on the neural basis of these processes. I am especially interested in how these systems are acquired
and organized. My approach includes combining behavioral and imaging techniques to study words, which provide a critical
interface for integrating low-level acoustic detail and higher-level, abstract representations. I am co-advised by Profs.
Michael Tanenhaus and Richard Aslin.
