I am currently a postdoctoral researcher and senior instructor in the department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester. I'm a member of the Center for Language Science, and I'm currently carrying out my research in the Aslin-Newport Lab. I completed my Ph.D. in Brain & Cognitive Sciences at the U of R, waaaay back in August 2010 (as evidenced by fancy-robe-wearing in May 2011).

My research focuses on the cognitive mechanisms underlying language acquisition. I study the information that's available to the language learner in the input, and I look at how maturational constraints and human learning biases affect the acquisition of that information.
