Heritage
It usually doesn't take long for people to realize I'm Canadian. I'm the token Canadian of the lab, and thus get to both have a sense of smug superiority, and be the butt of numerous jokes. I grew up in
Brampton, Ontario, and moved to New York state in 2011. Both my knowledge and appreciation of Canadian culture have grown a lot since moving to 'Merica.
Tea
Some number of years ago, I became somewhat obsessed with tea. While still an undergraduate, I co-founded and helped run the campus tea club. I don't indulge in tea nearly as much as I once did, but I do still enjoy throwing the occasional tea party.
Aerial Arts
By some more liberal definitions, I'm a professional aerial performer. I take lessons at
Aerial Arts of Rochester mainly for aerial silks. You can see a video of my first ever performance, from August 2012,
